Join us as we hear about the 2009 BOMA legislative issues and get an update on
our BOMA PAC Contributions, Advocacy Day in Olympia, and our fundraising
appreciation lunches for key lawmakers in 2008. Mark Gjurasic will educate us on
all PAC and other expenditures for all PAC’s in Washington State, Washington
States Political Action Contributions National standing and BOMA’s criteria for
making contributions to key lawmakers.
Also, we will be talking about key issues that were important in the 2008
session as well as issues that will impact the real-estate industry in the 2009
session to include Transportation, “split roll” taxation as it impacts
commercial property and the B&O taxation for onsite property managers.
Mark Gjurasic is the principal of Public Affairs of Washington, LLC,
specializing in governmental affairs representation, fundraising and educational
services. He began his lobbying career in 1979. As a result, he has long-term
relationships with many lawmakers both on the Congressional and State level.
Mark represents more real-estate associations than any other public affairs
consultant in Washington State to include: the Building Owners and Managers
Association, which he has represented for the last 12 years.
His expertise is in the area of residential and commercial real estate,
taxation, landlord and tenant transactions, licensure, and credit and debt
collection.
